    The Intelligent Transmission Tower Monitoring System is based on CORS system. It uses high-precision positioning receivers to collect and solve real-time coordinate data and combines other safety monitoring equipment including advanced signal acquisition, control network communication, measurement technology, solar energy technology and intelligent data analysis technology to realize real-time monitoring, timely warning and alarm of the tower's safety information, such as the stability of the tower foundation, the tilt of the power tower and the environment of the power tower.

    1. Leshan Electric Power Tower Foundation Monitoring Project

      In cooperation with Leshan Electric Power Bureau, after a long-term survey and data acquisition, SOUTH has analyzed and verified the feasibility of Beidou high-precision monitoring technology in the power tower environment, and finally deciding to deploy a dynamic safety monitoring system.

    2. Beidou Deformation Monitoring of Geologic Hazards in Tower Foundation of Hunan Transmission Line of State Grid

       - The demonstration project for monitoring transmission towers in freezing rain areas and disaster-prone areas.

      GNSS monitoring stations are set up in the vicinity of 41 towers with potential geological hazards along 11 lines operated by Hunan Electric Power Company of the State Grid, and the existing GNSS reference station data are used to form a comprehensive monitoring system for geological hazards of Hunan State Grid, which can achieve millimeter-level deformation monitoring accuracy, improve the risk management and control capability of geological hazards of transmission lines, and provide reliable scientific basis for disaster early warning and emergency disposal of transmission lines in Hunan Province.


    3. Automatic Monitoring Project for Geological Hazards of Transmission Towers of State Grid in Shanxi Province

       - Typical application case of GNSS surface displacement monitoring in mine goaf.

      The project is a transmission pole tower geological hazard monitoring project conducted by the State Grid System of Shanxi Province. The selected sites of the project are all located in the goaf settlement area of the coal mine where the settlement disaster is serious. The tower must be manually corrected every year. This project is a typical application case of GNSS surface displacement monitoring in the goaf area of a mine.
